OMG! So... Rylan and I had a FANTASTIC anniversary!
The weather was beautiful... which was super nice considering we haven't been having the nicest days.. silly rain... anyhoo... He went out and about and got his hair cut and did some running around in the AM while I got ready. When he came back he had a dozen gorgeous pink roses, and 2 gifts. He tried just giving me the one.. but I saw the other one as he was trying to put it down (he's not that sneeky) and seeing as it was a jewelry box he gave it to me as well. He got me a freakin Ipod Nano.. OMG! It's TINY!!!! He ordered it from Apple and got it engraved!!! It says Happy First Anniversary love Rylan on the back! It's super cute! I've wanted an MP3 Player for AGES now.. so I was pretty stoked. The jewelry was a beautiful pair of white gold/diamond earrings that match the necklace he bought me for my birthday.
I was spoiled :)
Then we headed off to Van where we went to the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Chinese Cultural Gardens.. it was amazing there! They had these beautiful walkways, bamboo, bonsai trees, ponds that are cloudy so the reflections are better, coy, just so many beautiful things! It was so peaceful, and the gorgeous weather made it all the better. Then we wandered to the other side, which is a public garder, and walked through this killer bamboo forest type area... it's soooooooooo tall! Ry took a bunch of pics, so I'll post when they're uploaded.
After that we stopped by his mom's work to say hi, and wandered on down to Granville. That was alright.. nothing special, but the weather was great so it was fun.
Then we went to Home Depot (wooohooo ... NOT!) and this cool furniture store beside it. Moe's.. looks super cool, we weren't going to go b/c it looks kind of expensive.. but when we got inside they had killer deals, and we ended up getting an AWESOME chair and a half for $220! All we need is a new slipcover, but that won't be more than $100 which is still such a killer deal!
On the way home we stopped at Cactus Club for dinner, watched the end of the ball game, and game home :) It was great! I played with my Nano for a bit, got a bunch of songs uploaded onto it and then I'm now writing my paper for history.. lol!
Okay.. really I have to get going b/c it's 5am and I just want to be done dammit!
I have such a great bf.. the whole day was beautiful.. I'm really lucky.. but then again.. so is he ;)
